The founder of Abundance Communications first tried to sell people on the idea of ebook publishing as the Next Big Thing in the year 2000, to little success. Feedback at the time was that people wouldn't want to read books on their computers. Silly. A few months after the first business plan for Abundance Communications was written and subsequently shelved, a modest business called "Amazon" started selling ebooks online. While the Abundance Books team were very happy that people came around on the idea of ebooks, it seemed at the time that perhaps there wasn't room for this modest project as well. Until now. From the team here at Abundance Books, we'd like to take this opportunity to say a belated "I told you so!"
We do print titles, too. It turns out not everyone likes to read books on their computers. I guess we can all be right.
